This comprehensive project advanced educational strategies at Bishop Museum through strategic evaluation, program design, curriculum development, and meaningful stakeholder engagement.

Key Deliverables

Strategic Evaluation & Reporting: Completion of an environmental assessment on student needs and Museum capacity, resulting in a strategic report and presentation approved by the CEO and Board
Program Design & Grant Acquisition: Execution of proposal writing that secured National Science Foundation funding for the REACHES program, designed to increase scientific literacy and instruction quality
Curriculum & Professional Learning: Development of an inventory of learning models and the design of educator externships that integrate scientific inquiry with Hawaiian cultural values
Stakeholder Engagement: Convening of focus groups to design collaboration opportunities that align with Department of Education and Kaiapuni school needs
